KINGSTON, Jamaica. Thursday, January 12, 2023: The South East Regional
Health Authority (SERHA) is reporting that digital communication within the Region is
currently unavailable. This is primarily due to a network issue that is preventing the
retrieval of emails and access to other critical services. The Information Technology and
Communications (ICT) Department stated that the issues began Tuesday, January 10,
2023.
The ICT unit continues to work towards the complete restoration of services, as well as a
comprehensive plan to improve service delivery and prevent failures like this in the future.
Once implemented, these measures will allow for smoother and more secure digital
communication and therefore a marked improvement in service delivery.
Members of the public are being asked to contact the Regional head office at 876-754-3443
for further information.
SERHA apologizes to the public for any inconvenience caused and is appreciative of their
patience as the ICT Department and other related Government Agencies continue to work
assiduously to restore services in the shortest possible time.
