Port Royal Health Centre Adopted by Frazer, Fontaine and Kong

The Port Royal Health Centre has been officially adopted by Fraser, Fontaine and Kong Insurance Brokers Ltd on Thursday, July 7, 2022. Speaking at the adoption ceremony, Dr. the Hon. Christopher Tufton, Minister of Health and Wellness, said that it is important for Jamaicans to know that there is partnership in Public Health.
Minister Tufton expressed gratitude to the donors for their benevolence to the people of Port Royal through the adoption. He added that the decision, efforts, motivation and social conscience demonstrated by reaching out to the facility.
Fraser, Fontaine and Kong Insurance Brokers Ltd pledged the amount of $3 million over three years to enhance the environment for the healthcare worker and the client that will improve service delivery at the primary care level.
The Port Royal Health Centre is the 38th Centre to benefit from the Adopt-a-Clinic Programme which has garnered almost $170 million in commitments, to date.
The Port Royal Health Centre, which is located in one of Jamaica’s most historic towns, serves a population of 3,327, providing services such as: maternal and child health to include; antenatal, postnatal, nutrition, child health, immunization, monitoring and support, health promotion/education and community participation, Curative service to include, general medicine.
These services are provided twice monthly to patients in the Port Royal community, however service are also access by patients from the Port Royal at the Bull Bay and Harbour view health centres.
