More than 30 persons who visited the St. Joseph’s Hospital benefited from a free health fair recently. The health fair, was conducted by the medical staff at the National Cancer Treatment Centre.
Throughout the day, the team carried out several health checks, including HIV test, breast examination, blood test such as glucose and eye care. Additionally, Pap smear for women and prostate-specific antigen tests for men were provided.
Persons were exposed to healthy-eating education sessions aimed at influencing them to make healthier dietary choices so as to reduce the incidence of non-communicable diseases.
Dr. Idalis Figurerdo, staff at St. Joseph's Hospital, conducted an eye care examination during the health fair that was held on November 29, 2023, on the hospital compound.
