Teachers, students ages 12 years and older and parents turned out during the National Students’ four day vaccination blitz activity (August 21-24, 2021) for the first dose of the Pzifer vaccine across the island. The blitz activities were hosted by the Regional Health Authorities and the Ministry of Health & Wellness.
During the vaccination site at the National Arena on August 24, 2021, 16-year old Tyreece
Fairweather from Calabar High School encouraged his colleagues to take the vaccine so that
school can be open.
Educators at St. George’s College, Jamaica College, Merl Grove High School, St. Andrews High School for Girls, Haile Selassie High School, the Queen’s School urged parents to carry their children at the sites available for vaccination.
