Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Visit Spanish Town Hospital

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince and Kate William, toured the Spanish Town Hospital (STH) on March 23, 2022 to commemorate the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen. Their royals received first-hand information on how frontline staff responded to the COVID-19 pandemic and how the healthcare system in Jamaica is being affected. Their royals also met with Dr. the Hon. Christopher Tufton, Minister of Health & Wellness, Mr. Wentworth Charles, Board Chairman, SERHA, Mr. Errol C. Greene, OD, JP, Regional Director, SERHA, Mrs. Jacqueline Wright-James, Senior Medical Officer, STH and Mrs. Jacqueline Ellis, Chief Executive Officer, STH. Their royals also visited the outpatient, neonatal and maternity wards along with the Dr. the Hon. Christopher Tufton, Minister of Health & Wellness. The royal couple were greeted with cheers from hospital staff and dozens of patients. During the tour, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge lauded the staff for their outstanding efforts.
