SERHA Probing Death of Councillor, Rohan Bryan

KINGSTON, Jamaica. Monday, June 03, 2024:The South East Regional Health Authority (SERHA) is advising members of the public that an investigation is on-going surrounding the passing of the late Councillor, Rohan Bryan of the St. Thomas Municipal Corporation. Prior to his passing, he was admitted for care at the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH). SERHA was notified of a protest at the entrance of the health facility earlier today relating to the death of the Councillor.

In responding to the protest, Regional Director for SERHA, Mr. Errol Greene noted that “the

SERHA wishes to advise the public that the matter is being investigated. The Board of the

SERHA will be advised as soon as investigations are complete.”

In the meantime, the management of PMH have met with Mr. Bryan’s wife and a family friend

to discuss the matter and advised that the findings would be shared.

SERHA is assuring the public that all efforts are being made to ensure that patients accessing the various public health facilities receive the best possible care.
