Rotary Clubs of Kingston and Camrose Donates $12 Million Worth of Equipment to BHC

The Bustamante Hospital for Children (BHC) received medical equipment valued at $21 Million from the Rotary Club of Kingston and the Rotary Club of Camrose, Canada during the official handover ceremony on Friday, October 30, 2020 at the institution.  The equipment donated includes 15 infant incubators, 15 infusion pumps, 11 mobile stands with baskets, 15 IV stands (metal) and 13 patient monitors.

The funds were acquired from fundraising drives which included a "Be a Hero" Diaspora fellowship, donation from Jamaican Canadian Association Alberta and a  local golf tournament. Grant applications were then made to the Rotary District 5370, the Provincial Government of Alberta and the Federal Government of Canada. Mrs. Wallen-Panton, CEO, BHC, expressed profound appreciation to the Rotary Clubs of Kingston and Camrose for the timely and generous donations that will strengthen the efforts made by the medical team to maintain efficient quality care for the children of Jamaica.
