The 89 Health Centres are spread across the three Parishes and are easily located because they are
named for the community in which they are found. The work of Health Centres is coordinated at a
local level from the respective Parish Health Departments.
The Kingston and St Andrew Health Department, located on Marescaux Road, oversees 45 Health Centres
in these two parishes. The St Catherine Health Department, located on Burke Road adjacent to the Spanish
Town Hospital governs the function of the 27 Health Centres within this Parish and the St Thomas Health
Department, located on Lysonns Road within the same compound of the Princess Margaret Hospital, is
responsible for the 17 Health Centres within this Parish.
